Consider dropping in for a few winch shots or some ground launch instruction in Florida this winter. Whether you come by for a ride (all First Class seating - Seat 1A, front row, center), or for multiple flights to add a ground launch endorsement to your glider license and complete your Flight Review, you will have... FUN. GUARANTEED. We'll be operating at the Immokalee Regional Airport, located between Naples and Ft. Myers on the gulf side - about 25 miles inland. We'll be there from mid-January through February 28th. Exact dates and times for rides or instruction can be scheduled in advance on CCSI's on-line calendar. Have a look. Click HERE for a YouTube video of me taking a friend up in the same sailplane we'll be flying in Immokalee. It is indeed an amazing ascent, smooth and fast. The quiet and graceful soaring, after the exciting 45 second 2000ft climb, is a very nice contrast in experience. A customer made THIS YouTube video after coming down for a flight. I really like it. The sailplane has a video camera that mounts above the rider's left shoulder and produces a mini-DVD of the flight (with sound). It's only $10. He used some of that video and some of his own. We do about 1000 glider flights a year during our seven-month season up here in Faribault, MN, located just south of Minneapolis. |
